Introduction
Hello my name is Wendy Owens. I currently have an AA degree of Science. I currently work as a teacher assistant through Covington County Schools. I work at Hopewell Elementary. I am currently attending University of Southern Mississippi pusuing a BA in Education. My goal is to graduate in December 2011 and becoming a teacher in August 2012. I have learned that technology takes a big part of todays classroom setting. In the classroom that I work in we have the pamenthean board and projector. The board also come with a slate. The slate is used when we don't want the kids to get out of their seats, they just pass it around and write their answers on it and it show up on the board. It is used everyday to help with student learning. We play educational games as a whole class. We give the students the opportunity of come up one by one to have hands on with the pamenthean board. We also have laptops and desktop computers in our class. The student use the computers to get on prepdog.com, which is a program that prepare the students for the MCT test. They also use programs such as study island, funbrain and mct achievers. Technology plays a big role.
